Why I work at Big Duck:
So I can use my powers of insight and strategic thinking for good, and work with some seriously smart people.
What I think is just ducky:
Tea and crumpets (a winning combination), family, the cardinal (of the bird variety) that lives in the tree outside my window, growing tomatoes, lovely people
What really ruffles my feathers:
Wiping the kitchen counter after cooking, carrying anything that weighs more than a pound, people who can’t laugh at themselves
Life before Big Duck:
I grew up just west of London, UK (that’s right, I’m British). After a checkered few years working as a dealer in a casino, studying politics and philosophy at the University of Sheffield (in the real steel city), and thinking about what to do with the rest of my life, I joined a government agency where I figured out that working in communications at an organization that does some good was my destiny. A couple of years ago I made the fateful decision to come to New York for an adventure and to study for a master’s in public relations, and I haven’t looked back since. Except that once…
Ask me about:
Communications planning, building web surveys, and how to make a proper cup of tea
