Design Director

Comic sans, I hate you.

Why I work at Big Duck:

All those diabolical, devious art direction and design skills I’ve picked up over the years I get to use for good. What can I say? I’m an idealist at heart.

What I think is just ducky:

NYC, morning coffee, inappropriate humor, good food, a well-used expletive

What really ruffles my feathers:

Rude and ignorant people, the MTA, awkward silences, doing the dishes

Life before Big Duck:

I’m a proud, native New Yorker, who has managed to retain some semblance of sanity. Or so you think. I studied architecture and communications design at Pratt Institute, and spent many years at various advertising and marketing agencies, like FCB and Upshot New York. After dabbling with some do-gooders, I finally dove into the deep end of the nonprofit pool, working with some fine organizations at Big Duck in the land of Brooklyn. Today I live in Manhattan, where I put my elbows to good use as I charge through the subway on my way to work.

Ask me about:

My favorite typefaces, my last good meal, superheroes, the best donuts in the city
