Kicking projects, taking names.

Why I work at Big Duck:

Smart people who help nonprofits improve the world want to pay me to make to-do lists? Yes, please.

What I think is just ducky:

TV. If it’s on the BBC, involves Jane Espenson, or is on the verge of being canceled, then it's on my DVR.

What really ruffles my feathers:

People who don't play board games by the rules—Monopoly is not meant to take four hours, and there is a special place in Hades for people who put money under Free Parking. Also, don't get me started on people who type two spaces after a period.

Life before Big Duck:

Although I was born in New York, my snow-averse family moved to Florida when I was in elementary school. To their continuing disbelief, I returned after college and joined the advertising industry in client services. While it was great fun, I needed a change. So I transitioned to the nonprofit sector as a corporate fundraiser for United Way. In my free time, I volunteer as co-leader of 501 Tech NYC, the local chapter of the Nonprofit Technology Network and recently joined the board of the New York City Anti-Violence Project.

Ask me about:

The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, the book I'm reading, what it's like to be a vegan married to a carnivore (spoiler alert: hijinks are involved)
