The F train will get you closest. If you’re traveling from Manhattan or Queens, take the Brooklyn-bound train and ride toward the back (ideally in the last car). Get off at York Street (first stop in Brooklyn). Climb the steps, go up the incline, head through the turnstiles, and struggle up even more steps. Whew.
Once you get to the street, you’ll turn right (ah, downhill) toward the water. Walk for just over a block, and take a left on Front Street. You’ll pass Retreat on your right— if you fancy, stop in for a scone and cup of coffee. Otherwise, keep on trucking down Front Street for a few blocks (you’ll walk underneath the Manhattan Bridge— noisy, but kinda neat). When you get to Main Street (with West Elm on the corner), take a right. 45 Main Street will be on your right.
Suite 1036 is on the 10th floor, down a rather long corridor. Come on in and enjoy the friendly faces of Big Duck and our views of the East River, the Watchtower, and the Manhattan Bridge.
If you’re traveling from Brooklyn, follow the directions above, but take the Manhattan/Queens-bound train (and ride near the front). York Street is the last stop in Brooklyn.

driving directions
Driving from just about any direction sounds confusing. That’s because it is rather confusing. If you get lost, keep one important thing in mind: we are located quite close the East River between the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges. So head to the water and stay between the bridges. And make sure you’re on the Brooklyn side of the river.
From the Manhattan Bridge, continue on the Flatbush Avenue extension. Turn right onto Tillary Street. Turn right onto Cadman Plaza West (Cadman Plaza park will be on your right hand side). When the road forks, go to the left onto Old Fulton Street: you’ll see the water in front of you a few blocks ahead. After the light, turn right onto Front Street. One block later, turn left onto Main Street (landmark check: Starbucks and West Elm are on opposite corners of Main Street). Big Duck is at 45 Main Street, halfway down the block on the right. There’s a parking lot in the basement of the building if you can’t find parking nearby on the street.
From the Brooklyn Bridge, stay in the right lane and take the Cadman Plaza exit. At the end of the ramp, when the road forks, bear right: you’re now on Cadman Plaza West.
From the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (Westbound), take Exit 28 (Cadman Plaza West). Keep right at the fork, and turn right onto Cadman Plaza West/Old Fulton Street at the end of the exit ramp. (There should be a parking lot on your right.) Make a sharp right turn onto Front Street. Turn left on Main Street (landmark check: Starbucks and West Elm are on opposite corners of Main Street). Big Duck is located at 45 Main Street, halfway down the block on the right. There’s a parking garage in the basement of the building.
From the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (Eastbound), take Exit 28A (Cadman Plaza West). Turn right at Cadman Plaza West/Old Fulton Street. Turn left onto Prospect Street, and drive under the overpass. Make a left onto Washington Street, and then another immediate left onto York. Turn right onto Front Street. After less than a block, make a left onto Main Street, where you will see Starbucks and West Elm on opposite corners of Main Street. Big Duck is located at 45 Main Street, halfway down the block on the right. There’s a parking garage in the basement of the building.

boating directions
If the timing works, try the New York Water Taxi, which can drop you at the nearby Fulton Ferry Landing. The schedule is more regular during the warm weather months, but no matter the season, it’s a perfectly civilized way to travel, complete with lovely city views and just a touch of motion sickness. Check out schedules at the New York Water Taxi website.
Once off the ferry, head inland a block and take a left on Water Street. Continue for a few blocks on Water Street, walk by Jacques Torres (if you have time, stop in for a hot chocolate or a frozen hot chocolate, depending on the season). At Main Street, you’ll take a right, and 45 Main Street is pretty much right there on the left. Watch for turning busses.
